Victoria Park

Victoria Park is a smallish residential district 2 miles to the south of the city centre, the focal point, unsurprisingly being the wonderful undulating Victoria Park itself, considered by many to be the most attractive park in the city, partly due to its views, and partly due to the hilly lay of the land. The park itself offers a lovely local café, adjacent to the children’s play area, in addition to bowls club and tennis club.

Local primary schools are Victoria Park primary school (rated ‘good’ in latest Ofsted report) and St Mary Redcliffe primary school. The combination of schools and park makes this a very popular areas for young families. Secondary school options include Ashton Park (latest Ofsted rating good) and Bedminster Down, Cathedral Choir school (outstanding) and St Mary Redcliffe and Temple school (outstanding).

Young professionals will enjoy the local pubs and bars. The Victoria Park is a gastro pub with a lovely sunny beer garden. The Windmill over the hill into Windmill Hill is also a popular haunt for drinkers.

Victoria Park is also appealing for commuters as Temple Meads mainline railway station is just 1.25 miles and Bedminster station 0.6 miles. East St shops in Bedminster is just 1 mile, with the city 2 miles, and North St. 1.5 miles.
